It was not easy, but it was worth it.Peter Park, who passed the California State Bar Exam at the age of 17 in July. On Tuesday, he was sworn in as an attorney.
Why It Matters: Park, who turned 18 in late November, established himself as “the youngest person to ever pass the [California Bar] exam,” according to the Tulare County District Attorney’s office. While the California State Bar could not confirm this news, they applauded his achievement, with the executive director saying, “Passing the California Bar exam is a major accomplishment at any age, and for someone as young as Mr. Park, it is quite an extraordinary feat and one worth celebrating.”
How He Did It: At the age of 13, Park simultaneously enrolled in high school and a four-year law program. Park graduated high school in two years and then shifted his attention to law school, which he graduated from in 2023.
Did You Know? The average law student is 25 years old or younger, with only 20% of law students being over the age of 30.
