Who: Iran & U.S., Russia, France, U.K., China & Germany.
What:A “IranA reaffirms that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek, develop or acquire anyA nuclear weapons.” Preface,A JCPOA.
When: 2015. 2 yr-long negotiation.
How: International Atomic Energy Agency (U.N. watchdog) says Iran complying w/deal; Israel says found evidence Iran already cheating.
What About Terrorism?
- Iran = labeled by U.S. as a state sponsor of terror since 1984.
- Pres. Trump led remarks: “The Iranian regime is the leading state sponsor of terror.“
- Obama admin negotiated deal SOLELY on nuclear issue, relying on established sanctions to address Iran’s state-sponsored terror. Trump admin thinks this was a mistake.
