Not if the West Hollywood Council has its way.  They voted to remove his star from the Walk of Fame, but they don’t get final (if any) say.

  • Pres. Trump’s star is a site of increasing vandalism & protest.
  • West Hollywood Mayor said the Council’s resolution urging the star’s removal isn’t political, telling CNN:  “Earning a star … is an honor. When one belittles & attacks minorities, immigrants, Muslims, people with disabilities or women — the honor no longer exists.”

Walk of Fame 101

  • Anyone can submit a nomination, but nominees must be in 1 of 5 fields of entertainment: film, t.v., radio, live theater & recording.
  • Hollywood Chamber of Commerce votes on nominees.
  • Once selected, nominees or a sponsor (a movie studio, agent, PR company) pay $40K for ceremony & star’s upkeep.
