U.S and Iran Dispute Nuclear Site Access
“If they did not agree to this, there would be no further negotiations!”
Pres. Donald Trump on Tuesday after Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei denied Iran agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors access to nuclear sites damaged in U.S. strikes last year. The dispute comes just days after the U.S. began lifting oil and financial sanctions on Iran, and Vice President JD Vance wrapped up the first round of talks with Iran in Switzerland under the U.S.-Iran memorandum’s 60-day negotiation process.

Senate Passes Bipartisan Housing Bill Aimed at Lowering Costs
“This is how Americans want Congress to govern.”
Sen. Chuck Schumer after the Senate passed the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act in an 85-5 majority vote Monday. The legislation includes more than 45 housing provisions aimed at boosting construction, reducing regulatory barriers, supporting manufactured housing, and limiting some institutional investor purchases of single-family homes. The bill now heads to the House. Analysts at investment banking firm Evercore say that while the bill “will take time to meaningfully affect housing affordability and will not resolve voter frustration in that area,” it is a “constructive sign” from Congress.

Florida Sues TikTok Over Child Safety Law
“Mark my words, we’re going after anybody that’s going to hurt our kids … anybody and everybody.”
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier on the state’s lawsuit against TikTok. Florida officials accuse the tech company of violating HB 3, the state’s online child-protection law, arguing TikTok “is actively deceiving Florida parents about the risks of allowing their teens to access this platform.” TikTok said it continues updating its platform in Florida in response to state law, adding, “TikTok is built with safety at its core.”

Former Federal Reserve Chair Alan Greenspan Dies at 100
“He was a giant of a man who helped shape the U.S. economy…”
Andrea Mitchell on the death of her husband and former Federal Reserve Chair Alan Greenspan at age 100, remembering his decades-long influence on U.S. economic policy across four presidencies and his role in shaping modern central banking. Greenspan passed away on Monday from complications of Parkinson’s disease.

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni after Argentina’s 2–0 World Cup win over Austria Monday, where Lionel Messi scored his record-breaking 18th FIFA World Cup finals goal. Guinness World Records reported Messi also broke records for most FIFA World Cup matches played (28), most World Cup match wins (18), and most minutes played (2,489), stating “we are witnessing history.”
