Ten-year-old Zoey Levesque, who was at a bowling alley with her mom when an active shooter appeared on the scene. At least 18 people died after the shooter opened fire at a restaurant and a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine.
This is a developing story.
Who: At least 18 people have been killed and 13 people injured, law enforcement officials said Thursday. Police have identified Robert Card (40), as the person of interest in the shooting.
What: The shooter opened fire at a restaurant and a bowling alley located about four miles apart. The shooter remains at large as police search the area. A shelter-in-place advisory and school closings (as far away as 50+ miles from the location of the shooting) have been implemented and many businesses are closed, with authorities considering the shooter “armed and dangerous.”
When: Wednesday evening.
Where: Lewiston, Maine, the state’s second largest city located “about 45 minutes North of Portland” (CBS News).
Why: The motive is unknown.
