President Biden on having tea with Queen Elizabeth – he’s the 13th U.S. president to meet the Queen.
- President Biden met Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle.
- The Queen’s meetings are private – so we have no photos or read-out (notes) from the event.
Why It Matters: President Biden is in Europe for a series of important meetings. He concluded a meeting with the G7 in England and next travels to Brussels, Belgium for meetings with NATO before a final meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Context: The Queen started meeting with American presidents at age 25; she’s now 95.
