It’s hard to tell how Black Friday is panning out so far. We have to look at the whole holiday season. The slowness in purchasing might get pushed out to Cyber Monday or further.

Michael Brown, a partner at global management consulting firm Kearney. People spent record amounts on online shopping during Black Friday, while an estimated 67% of Black Friday shopping took place in traditional brick-and-mortar stores.

Big Picture: Despite concerns of increased prices as a result of inflation, online shoppers spent an unprecedented $9.12 billion on Black Friday. Cyber Monday is expected to draw even larger numbers – upwards of $11 billion. Top selling items on Black Friday included Apple Macbooks, Apple Watches, drones, and Xbox Series X.
