It will certainly be the worst natural disaster that Hawaii ever faced.

Hawaii Gov. Josh Green on the Lahaina wildfire – one of the deadliest wildfires in U.S. history.
  • At least 93 people died in the fire but that number is expected to grow.
  • Maui Chief of Police says law enforcement has only sifted through 3% of the search area: “We’ve got an area that we have to contain that is at least 5 square miles and it is full of our loved ones."
  • "At least 2,200 buildings were damaged or destroyed in West Maui, Green said, of which 86% were residential." (AP)
