Hastings was on a social media app discussing committing acts of violence against U.S. civilians in furtherance of global jihad.
The FBI announcing the arrest of a 25-year-old Oklahoma man, charging him with “attempting to provide material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations and illegal possession or transfer of a machinegun.”
Why It Matters: The arrest comes as a warning came to light last week from the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center about new threats of al Qaeda attacks in America.
