- The Japanese company put the hoverbike up for sale this week. It costs $680,000.
- It “flies” up to 62 mph for roughly 40 minutes on one charge.
Why It Matters: Existing law may not allow for hoverbikes on roads near you, but the technology is evolving. One analyst tells the BBC: “The current trialling of emerging technologies such as driverless cars, autonomous robots and drones shows there is a blueprint for new forms of transport to move out of the realms of science fiction and into the real world.”
