Jon Batiste Wins Grammy Album of the Year

The couple learned of Batiste’s Grammy nominations on Jaouad’s first day of chemotherapy during this second cancer fight; she previously battled leukemia a decade ago. Batiste was the most nominated artist this year and won the most Grammys — 5 — including Album of the Year. He says he believes music is “more than entertainment … it’s a spiritual practice.”
