The company – which sells shapewear, loungewear and underwear – announced a deal making them the official underwear partner of National Basketball Association (NBA), the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and USA basketball.
Why It Matters: Skims (valued at around $4 billion in July 2023, founded in 2019) and the NBA announced the multiyear partnership on Monday. It is the first time the NBA has made an official underwear partnership and comes days after Skims launched its first mens line, which includes T-shirts, socks and underwear. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said, “Skims has quickly become one of our most culturally-influential brands. We look forward to bringing NBA fans and SKIMS users unique experiences, new offerings and premium products through our partnership.”
