Netflix Releases Q4 Numbers, Shows Increase in Streaming

Why It Matters: Netflix released their fourth-quarter numbers on Tuesday, showing that the company remains the top streamer in the world with three consecutive quarters of growth. In 2023, Netflix announced a crackdown on password sharing and an increase in certain subscription costs, causing many to question whether the move would hurt or help the company. The recent numbers, however, show that Netflix gained almost 30 million subscribers last year – a stark increase compared to 2022 when they gained a total of 8.9 million subscribers.
