Nvidia Surpasses Microsoft & Apple As Most Valuable Company

Nvidia has been getting a lot of positive attention and has been doing a lot of things very correctly, but a small misstep is likely to cause a major correction in the stock, and investors should be careful.

Senior vice president at Wealthspire Advisors in New York, Oliver Pursche, commenting on chipmaking company Nvidia becoming the most valuable company in the world.

Why It Matters: Nvidia, a 31-year-old computer chip company in high demand for their artificial intelligence chips, surpassed Apple and Microsoft on Tuesday, becoming the most valuable company in the world at $3.335 trillion. Microsoft and Apple typically go back and forth as the highest-valued U.S. company.

Something To Consider: Nvidia “will be the most important company to our civilization over the next decade as the world becomes more AI-driven,” CFRA Research analyst Angelo Zino told The Wall Street Journal
