• The President encouraged Americans to either get vaccinated or receive a booster shot.
• President Biden said as long as people get vaccinated and wear masks where appropriate, there will be no need for any lockdowns.
• The President is addressing the nation on the same day travel restrictions go into effect limiting travel from southern African countries. The President said he believes the restrictions will not prevent the spread of Omicron but provide more time for research and vaccine distribution.
