Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), one member of the 21-member Senate Judiciary Committee, which will hear from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford on her allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. He says he believes Kavanaugh but wants to hear from Prof. Ford.
“I’m going to be watching, believe it or not… I’m going to see what’s said. It’s possible they will be convincing.”
President Trump on keeping an open mind as Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and one of his accusers testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. When asked if there were conditions in which he would withdraw Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, the President said, "If I thought he was guilty of something like this, sure."
"(The U.S.) wants to continue just giving orders to the world as though the world were its own property. Venezuela will never give in.”
President Nichola Maduro of Venezuela, in a surprise visit & speech to the United Nations Wednesday night, after 6 countries (not including the U.S.) asked the UN to investigate Venezuela for crimes against humanity; the U.S. has sanctioned Venezuelan officials for human rights violations & corruption.

Jerome Powell, Federal Reserve Chairman, as America’s central bank increases short-term interest rates for the 3rd time this year to 2-2.25% on signs of an improving economy, raising its economic outlook. The Fed has gradually raised rates from near 0% following the financial crisis and expects one more this year & 3 hikes in 2019.

Andrea Kremer on joining Hannah Storm to call streaming, NFL games for Amazon Prime Video on Thursday nights. The sports journalists will be the first-ever, female team to announce an NFL game, serving as an alternative to Fox broadcast crew Joe Buck & Troy Aikman. Amazon will also offer a UK & Spanish-language broadcast.
