“Worldwide Threats” Senate Hearing: Fentanyl

The FBI alone seized enough fentanyl in the last two years to kill 270 million people.

Big Picture: A portion of the 2+ hour hearing focused on the threat of fentanyl and how it enters the country. Senator Angus King (I-ME) heard from the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, who discussed the role of drug cartels in Mexico and FBI Director Christopher Wray, who explained ways the drug can get into the U.S. as well as its connection with China.
