Severe Weather Causes Ongoing Tornado Threat

Multiple strong/potentially long-track tornadoes, very large to giant hail, and severe/damaging winds all appear likely.

The U.S. Storm Prediction Center on Sunday. More than 25 million people stretching from Dallas, Texas to Sioux Falls, South Dakota remain under the threat of severe storms on Monday.

Big Picture: A severe weather outbreak poses risk Monday through Wednesday this week, with meteorologists warning of continued tornadoes, particularly stretching from Oklahoma City to Wichita, Kansas. May traditionally sees the peak number of tornadoes, with slightly higher-than-normal numbers this year as we head into the first full week of the month. Sunday marked 10 consecutive days of confirmed tornadoes across the nation.
