Splashdown confirmed! Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team on an exciting tenth flight test of Starship!
SpaceX in a post on X, sharing video of its most powerful rocket successfully launching into space on its fourth attempt.
Why It Matters: The one-hour, six-minute test flight marks a major milestone: NASA plans to use a modified Starship for its planned 2027 moon landing, and the rocket’s reusable design also advances Elon Musk’s broader goal of sending humans to Mars. While delayed by two days, SpaceX launched its Super Heavy-Starship on Tuesday after three failed attempts earlier this year.
