A symbol of hope and strength.
.
This is the Survivor Tree.

.

It was damaged, broken and burned, in the World Trade Center attack. Saved amid the rubble, the New York City Parks and Recreation rehabilitated it, eventually replanting it at the 9/11 Memorial Site in New York City where it has thrived.
.
Its resilience is now shared. Every year, the Survivor Tree’s seedlings are given to communities also recovering from tragedy.
.
Past recipients include Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria (2018); Orlando, FL following the Pulse Nightclub Shooting (2016); and Prescott, AZ following the firefighting deaths of 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots (2013).
.
There are incredible 9/11 memorials in all 50 states ~ Here’s a list for you to peruse.
