"Trust in the process, giving the glory to God, that's all, this season – hard work, dedication, and just really grateful to be able to represent my country and just to have this opportunity."

The 21-year-old U.S. sprinter set a new world record in the 400m hurdles, winning the Olympic gold medal. McLaughin often speaks about her faith, recently writing: “I don’t deserve anything. But by grace, through faith, Jesus has given me everything. Records come and go. The glory of God is eternal.” Fellow American sprinter Dalilah Muhammad ran her personal best, winning silver.
