Taylor Swift Sets The Record For Most “Album of the Year” Titles at the Grammys

Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards on Sunday after becoming the first person to win Album of the Year four times.

Why It Matters: During the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday, Taylor Swift set the record for the most wins in the “Album of the Year” category. Her 2022 album “Midnights” won the award, pushing her to hold four titles in the category.

Her prior albums of the year include “Fearless” in 2010, “1989” in 2016, and “Folklore” in 2021. She also won best pop vocal album for “Midnights” on Sunday, bringing her to a total of 14 overall Grammy awards.

During her acceptance speech, she said, “For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy. It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award too.”
