February 13, 2024

Let’s be smart and not too glib about things. We haven’t seen big storms in some time but the teams are predicting that this is going to be a real storm.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey on the storm predicted to hit the Northeast United States on Tuesday.

What To Know: Storms continue in the U.S. as the Northeast began preparing for a coastal storm on Monday. On Tuesday, the northern suburbs of New York City and southwestern Connecticut expect heavy snowfall. Additionally, wind could reach 60 mph on the Massachusetts coast and 40 mph in southern New England.

New York City Mayor, Eric Adams, warned residents, “If you do not have to be on the roads [on Tuesday], please stay home,” and NYC public schools shifted to remote classes. Several other cities have warned against driving and have closed schools.

According to The Weather Channel, snowfall in the Northeast “will be over with by Tuesday night.”

Also To Note: This is part of the storm system that brought heavy rain and wet snow to the Gulf Coast and the South over the weekend.
