United States midfielder Weston McKennie on the U.S. men’s soccer team win over Iran.

The single goal came from Christian Pulisic, who collided with Iran’s goalkeeper.

Why It Matters: The U.S. team advances in the World Cup after its victory against Iran – a highly symbolic match reflecting the tensions between the two countries and the first time the teams have faced-off in more than 20 years. Iran was eliminated from the tournament.
