#ICYMI: On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin testified in front of the Senate Appropriations Committee, urging lawmakers to send “immediate aid to Israel and Ukraine, arguing … that broad support for the assistance would signal U.S. strength to adversaries worldwide” (The Associated Press). In the quick-take shared below, Secretary Blinken is asked two questions regarding humanitarian aid to Gaza by first Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) and second, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT).

Tuesday’s hearing came less than two weeks after President Biden’s $105 billion aid package request (which includes support for both Israel and Ukraine, among other national security issues) to Congress, where the package has faced roadblocks.
