We had some mistakes here and there, but [we] just keep going, keep relying on our training.

United States gymnast Simone Biles, who competed alongside five other U.S. gymnasts to win the team title at the world championships. The feat marks the U.S.’ seventh straight team title at the world competition – a streak never achieved until now.

Why It Matters: Biles, 26, further solidified herself as the most decorated female gymnast ever as she received her 33rd major championship medal in Antwerp, Belgium – the same city she won her first world title 10 years ago. Biles made headlines earlier this week when she became the first woman to ever complete a Yurchenko double-pike in an international competition, meaning the move will now bear her name (as per tradition, the first person to complete a new move on the international stage receives this honor).

Added Context: Yurchenko = round-off onto the springboard and a back handspring onto the vault.
