Jesse Merkel, the father of 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel, who was one of two children killed in Wednesday’s shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Eighteen others sustained injuries.
A gunman opened fire at Annunciation Catholic School’s morning Mass Wednesday. Here is what we know about the two victims who lost their lives that day:
Fletcher Merkel, 8: described by his father as a boy who “loved his family, friends, fishing, cooking and any sport that he was allowed to play.”
Harper Moyski, 10: described by her family as a “bright, joyful, and deeply loved” child “whose laughter, kindness, and spirit touched everyone who knew her.”
Additionally, the City of Minneapolis updated the total injured Thursday afternoon to 18.
